ZodiacGems — mobile app

Flutter customer app for ZodiacGems, a jewelry store where customers browse pieces by zodiac sign.

Status: Course project (SWD392), FPT University, 2024 — archived. The backend is offline, so the app cannot sign in or load products.

The web app with the admin and staff consoles is in SWD392.

My role

Team Lead of the SWD392 project and front-end developer. I wrote all of the code in this repository (every commit is mine):

Sign-in screen.
Home screen with products filtered by zodiac sign; product detail with similar products.
Search with pagination.
Cart with quantity updates, order list and order detail, a payment confirmation screen.
Profile and About pages; sold-out warnings.

Team

Commits in this repository: @Let-cal. The team's other work is in SWD392.

Stack

Flutter (Dart SDK >=3.0 <4.0), http, shared_preferences, logger. pubspec.yaml also lists Firebase Auth, Google Sign-In and other packages that the code does not import.

How to run

flutter pub get
flutter run

API URLs are hard-coded (mainly in lib/pages/url_API/constants.dart) and point to the old Azure backend, which no longer exists.

Known limitations

The backend is offline, so the app stops at sign-in.
The payment screen only shows a confirmation; it does not call a payment provider.
No real tests: test/widget_test.dart is the default Flutter counter test and does not match this app.
